This site is my tribute to one of the most
exciting groups I've ever had the pleasure of seeing in concert. Joey Dee and The Starliters, which these days is comprised of Joey with Bobby Valli and original Starliter David Brigati, have been part of the
American pop scene since the early 1960s, ever since their recording of "Peppermint Twist" shot to the top of the charts.
Check out the Bio page for my writeup on the group, and visit the Videos page for a taste of The Starliters' live shows.
David Brigati is the brother of Eddie Brigati
from The Young Rascals (later shortened to just The Rascals) and is a shining star in his own right. He arranged the
vocal harmonies for The Rascals (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees) and in fact can be heard singing on many of the group's
hits; David is often referred to as the Fifth Rascal. He and Eddie occasionally perform in concert together.
Bob Valli is the brother of Frankie Valli of The Four Seasons fame. Joey's son and daughter, Ronnie Dee and Jamie Lee, frequently appear in shows with their dad, Ronnie playing his trademark sax and both siblings lending their vocals to the
concert experience as well.
In addition, The Starliters' live shows
have now expanded to become Joey Dee's All-Star Rock 'n' Roll Revue featuring Tommy Mara, formerly of The Saints and now with The Crests. Between all of these elements, you can bet there's an explosion of
talent to be found whenever Joey Dee and company appear in concert!
